Migration is not a word you can describe shortly. This word right now is really actual. At the current time, illegal immigration is one of the top topics in the news. Refugees hiding in France, UK, Germany, Holland etc., are mostly coming drom ISIS countries.

Migration is when a group of people move from one place to another and it can be sorted in to the two groups

Internal Migration -  is when people migrate within the same country or region - for example, moving from London to Plymouth.
International Migration -  is when people migrate from one country to another - for example, moving from Poland to Sweden.

There must be reason why people is moving from one city to another, from one country to another. I found pull factors that are interesting.

PUSH and PULL factors of Migration

Most people leave due to push factors which push them to leave their their home country:

  • Lack of services
  • Lack of safety
  • High crime levels
  • Lack of crops/food
  • MassDroughts
  • Mass Flooding
  • Poverty
  • War
  • No Jobs

And then the countries they try to go to have the following pull factors:

  • Higher employment
  • More wealth
  • Better Services
  • Good climate
  • Less Crime
  • Benefits
  • Lower risk of natural disasters
  • Political stability
  • Stability for children
  • Education

Some people choose to migrate, for example - someone who moves to another country to enhance their career opportunities. Some people are forced to migrate OR someone who moves due to war or famine.

A refugee is someone who has left their home and does not have a new home to go to. Often refugees do not carry many possessions with them and do not have a clear idea of where they may finally settle.

Since the EU was formed, it is easier to migrate between countries. In 2004 Poland, and seven other Eastern European countries joined the EU. This increased migration into the UK. The largest group of migrants were from Poland. Most try to come through illegally as they have no choice because they won't be allowed into the country but they need to escape their home country so they try to sneak in.

I found out that through the years there are also different patterns of migration globally.

Migration laws are very complex and are different for each countries, even in the EU.

If you don't have a visa you are not allowed to work or live in that country. You must state when you enter a country if you are their for work, living or pleasure.

You can apply for VISA applications to migrate to another country.

As I said at the beginning, illegal immigration is one of the top topics in the news. And it happens because of the most powerful gun since people have been living on the Earth. I think that religion is the reason of those wars and migration patterns.

I actually found this really difficult to write about. It is because of such complicated topic in news at the moment and because of my attitude. I am really directly logical thinking teenager and I have my opinion for many things. Through the years I realised that many people are saying lies and in many forums, articles appears false information. I am not talking just about migration. In general I think that if I'm not knowledgeable enough in certain topic, I am not going to discuss it. It is not because I am not interested. Right now I am really inquisitive that happens in the world, but I am not thinking about that. The reason why is because I don't have enough knowledge in such complicated information. There are many very smart people who analyze it all and base their own researches on real facts. Same thing is with religion which is really difficult theme through many centuries.
